Well Arundel I wanted to let you MEN know you are winners in my eyes and you
fought and played one heck of a game tonight!!!! If I had to choose you MEN
to be on a battle field with me I would choose every last one of you; you
all never quit and you all played one heck of an awesome season!!! We as
Arundel Parents are very proud of each and every one of you guys and for the
Seniors we wish you guys the best and move on to college and remember what
Coach Mark and all the other Coaches taught you Character, Unity, let your
talking be done on the field, and most of all it's not how you fall that is
most important it's how you get back up from that fall that's most
important!!! Hold your heads high for you have nothing to be ashamed of!!!!!

Wow what a game 58-55 2 OT Arundel you all had one hell of a year, I know
you had your sights set on something bigger but in the end you can say you
left it all on the field good luck to all the departing seniors. And give
Old Mill credit that Josh Furman is something else, cheer the Patriots on to

very well and your parents, family, friends, fans, and classmates are so
very proud of each and everyone of you!!! Remember to focus from here on

Don't let your success on the field go to your head. Some of you are letting
that arrogant swagger carryover into your private lives, in public. You may
want to cover your jersey numbers in public when you engage in Stupid and

Great game last night Arundel! I've
watched all the teams in the county this season and from where I stand you
are the team to beat. You have by far the best linebacker (#11), receiving
core, and the best running back in the county. Last night your receivers
averaged 17 yards a catch and #23 averaged 10 yards per carry. Cut down on
your penalties and put the ball in #23's hands (who also leads the county in
kick-off return yards) more often and you may be unbeatable. Anonymous,

The coaches aren't the only
ones to notice that #23 is a stud i have been to several games and watched
him run the ball well as well as play corner against the opposing teams best
player. He is defiantly a great player glad to see the coaches use him both
ways however i would like to see him get more touches weather it be running,

Great game on Friday Arundel and
congrats for returning to the top spot in the county! Watching you for
the first time this year, I'm not sure how you have one loss??? I was
impressed with your play and completely impressed by # 10 Billy Cosh who has
a terrific arm and the best stats in the county and by # 23 Derek Rose who
runs the ball extremely hard and as good as any back I've seen this year.
Is anyone else besides the coaches aware that #23 played almost every down
on offense and defense? By the way Arundel County; Quince Orchard and

- Be confident boys, you
return a bunch of tremendously athletic players who no doubt helped your
team go to the championship game last year. With the best offensive line in
the county returning if Cosh can get the ball to your returning superior
receiving core and Rhodes picks up where he left off, there's no team that
can stop your offense..just outscore your opponents! As for the defense;
listen to your superior coaching staff and with returning players like
Partilla and additions like Rice, you'll have no problems stopping opposing
offenses. Top to bottom, you guys are very, very, very good so stay focused,
play like you know you can, and play with a chip on your shoulders! Good

- Most people don't know what it takes to win and

have been getting after it since January. I want each and every one of you

- This 2007 football team was one of the
best High School football teams I have ever seen. I played football 2005 for
the wildcats.2007 team went 12-1 that's a great season in my eyes and should
be a to every else. Coach Mark is the best football coach at any level in
football in the nation. He is also the best football coach i have ever
played with and played against. Coach mark will make you a better player
cause he is a great coach. Even away from football he will make you a better
person in life. all the goals they reached this past year every one on the

- I am proud of each of the players for
their drive and determination throughout the year. It is no small feat to
practice daily and put in the amount of time you young men did over the
summer. I'm not sure anyone other than the parents, players and coaches know
how much time is involved. You are all champions and have so much to be
proud of. You did an outstanding job at M&T and not many teams had the
opportunity to play there. I only wish that ALL the seniors had a chance to
step onto the field for at least one play, as some of them will never put on

a special group of young men. I know the sting of defeat is a bitter pill to
swallow, and for you Seniors even more so. Winning the State would have been
the icing on the cake for a magical season. The good news is this. What you
learned over the course of these past four years, and especially this year,
goes way beyond the gridiron. You learned discipline, teamwork,
determination, and a host of other valuable life lessons that will always be
a part of you. As you go to college and pursue careers, you will know how to
set goals and achieve them. Most important, you will never utter the words,

ethics, determination ,the dream and the vision that I saw in your eyes
every time I looked at you during practice and during a game. Being my first
year as a coach , you guys accepted me and showed me respect and I really do
appreciate it. I love you guys like you were one of my own. We are one big

- I have always been proud to be a
Wildcat parent, the excitement of last nite I will never forget. You as a
team & the coaches gave that wonderful feeling & expierence to us all. And
that Pride can never be taken away. You played with such class . I hope you

amazing, and all the alumni wearing their old jersey, I think you allowed
them back on the field one more time. Seniors take with you the pride the
coaches have instilled & remember this is not the end its just part of the
journey. We will be back next year to do it all again either on the field,

were like brothers. You all worked as one unit and never stopped punishing
the competition. I pray that you all bring the championship to AA-county and

- I played for Coach Markiewicz at North
County in the 94 State Finals and I will say this. He is a mastermind and he
will have you prepared for any and everything. You guys are lucky to have
him leading you onto the field and you are fortunate to be able to learn
about life's trials and tribulations from him as well. Football is a game
but years from now when the helmet is packed away and replaced with a suit
and tie, you will remember conversations with Coach, you will cherish your
time playing for him--good and bad, ad most of all you will be a better

I invested hundreds of hours developing the best summer workouts in the
country for High School Football players. The purpose was to develop young
men from the ages of 14-17 to become athletic enough to play the best
football at the highest level in high school. Why Arundel? Because you have
the best football coach in the nation. Coach Chuck Markiewicz, along with
Coach Bernie Walter are two of the most intelligent coaches I have ever met
in my life. I believe in Coaches CM and BW. They believe in each and every
athlete they coach. We all believe that the best in you comes from your

Wildcats, on Friday night all you have to do is play your game, take care of
business for 48 minutes, not a minute or second less. Play your game the way
you have done it all season, "Just do what you do", you believed all season
that it didn't matter who the other team was. IT DOESN'T MATTER NOW, Believe
this and place it in your heart, It doesn't matter who you are playing, it
doesn't matter what their record is or how many so called div 1 prospects
they have. All season none of that was important and on Friday night it will
not be important either. Because this championship game is not about who
your opponent is, it is about you guys and the way you have grown and bonded
during this season and become one unit. This game is about how close you all
have become as a team and how you care and feel about your teammates. This
is another opportunity to show your teammates that you are willing to play
your hearts out for each other and lay it on the line for 48 minutes.
Leaving it all on the field, REFUSING TO LOSE, REFUSING TO LOSE, REFUSE TO
LOSE. So on Friday continue to play smart, fast, physical Arundel football
with class, dignity, determination, pride, commitment, honor and courage. If
you do this, no matter what the outcome you will be able to walk off that
field with your heads held high and your hearts filled with satisfaction
that you gave it everything you had. Remember no matter what happens, win or
lose, no matter what is written, or said by any paper or news report, or
anyone else, no one, i mean no one can ever take away what you guys have
accomplished as a unit this year. This has been a PERFECT SEASON, a season
that players, coaches, fans, family, students and administrators will never
forget......So on Friday, step on that field with pride of your

Actually the comment about The Rhodes boys was left by me...an assistant
coach at Annapolis who remembers Jimmy's speed oh too well. I did find out
